Become a volunteer at the biggest annual international contemporary art festival in the Baltics: Survival Kit!

The Latvian Centre for Contemporary Art is looking for people to volunteer in the run up to and duration of Survival Kit 9.

What do you get by volunteering for Survival Kit?

Volunteer roles at the festival:

  • production team assistant;
  • artist assistant;
  • invigilator;
  • photographer, videographer of the festival.

Info on workload and working hours: on weekdays you will be required to work three hours per shift (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday). The weekend is four hours per shift (Saturday and Sunday). It is recommended to be available for at least two shifts per week. A separate schedule is going to be adjusted for those wanting to take part in the installation or dismantling of the exhibition.


This year will be the festival’s 9th edition and it will take place from the 7th of September till the 1st of October at the former Faculty of Biology at the University of Latvia located at Kronvalda Boulevard 4. The festival has been titled “Becoming an Apricot * an Apple * a Crow * a Tree * a Cockroach * a Glacier * a Plant * a Mushroom * a Shell * a Bird * Algae * “ and will be directed towards the broadening of perception and learning from nature.
